Cultural Responsiveness

North Woodvale Primary School

At North Woodvale Primary School , we are committed to continuous growth and learning in culturally responsive and restorative practices.

We hold a shared belief that this journey is infinite. Our vision is grounded in the belief that education is a pathway to reconciliation, empowerment, and social justice. By creating a school environment where Aboriginal families feel culturally safe, heard, and seen, we aim to build stronger connections, foster mutual respect, and promote positive outcomes for all members of our community.

Aboriginal perspectives, histories, and knowledges are integrated into teaching practices, ensuring that students see themselves reflected in their learning experiences. Language, kinship, and cultural practices are honoured and embraced, fostering a sense of belonging for Aboriginal families within the school community.
