Important Information-
Please note that the times listed for each day of the Faction Athletics Carnival are approximate, as weather conditions may cause delays to events.
On Friday, 15 August, students should bring their bags to the oval for the Sprints, Team Games, and Relay Finals. To ensure students are well-prepared for the day, please ensure they:
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat healthy food
- Bring their puffer/inhaler if asthmatic
- Wear running shoes, a broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and their faction t-shirt and colours
- Bring protective clothing and a change of clothes if rain is forecast
Please label all items clearly with your child’s name.
Coloured hair spray, face paint, ribbons, streamers, etc., are a fun and traditional part of the carnival and help create a vibrant atmosphere. However, these must be applied or attached at home under supervision.
We warmly invite you to attend the Faction Athletics Carnival on each of the scheduled days to cheer on your child and their faction. This event is a wonderful opportunity for all Years P–6 students to participate, have fun, and demonstrate the skills they’ve been developing during sport sessions. Class and faction teachers, as well as our student faction captains, have worked hard preparing for this event, and we’re looking forward to some fantastic days of physical activity and team spirit.
Lunch Information – Friday 15 August:
- All students will eat lunch on the oval.
- Student lunch orders will be distributed next to the stage in the covered assembly area.
- Family lunch orders can be collected directly from the canteen.
- If ordering lunch for your child, please ensure the student’s name, year level, and classroom are clearly written on the lunch order form.
A reminder that light showers will not result in a postponement, as many people make special arrangements to attend. You may like to bring a fold-up chair and an umbrella for your comfort.
At North Woodvale Primary, we encourage students to participate enthusiastically in P.E. and sport, maintain a positive attitude, and show appreciation for the efforts of all individuals and teams—after all, there can be no carnival without them!
Thank you for your ongoing support. We hope you can join us to enjoy the Carnival and celebrate our students’ achievements.
Mr. Bennett
